So, Saturday Chad got home around 1:30 PM after being on call all Friday and Friday night. Needless to say he was a zombie, but still insisted that we get out and explore our lovely new surroundings. We decided to hit up one of the beaches that is about an hour and a half from our home. Weather was a bit chilly, but as you'll observe, that didn't stop the kiddos one bit. They LOVED it. Fun time had by all. The funniest part was the drive home. First of all, I had driven there so Chad could get some rest. When we were finished with at the beach Chad decided he would drive home, so we started out. I got a call from my friend and started chatting away not noticing where we were going. A little after an hour of driving Chad looks at me and asks "Does any of this look familiar?" I'm thinking "It's Washington. Everything looks the same here. Green!!" Well, we finally pulled off to ask someone where the heck we were. Come to find out we were 2 hours away from home and about 30 minutes away from the Oregon border!! Lovely! So we got the kiddos some snacks at the gas station and headed back home. On top of all that, Lexi kept complaining that her tummy hurt and two seconds after I asked her if she need to throw up...she did. All over the place! Oh, it was freakin hilarious! Hopefully our next outing will be just as eventful :)
This is "B.S." Before Soaking.
Okay so I'm pointing to Zane who is a freakin' maniac! He was out ready to go body surfing! Nixon was loving being out too once he got all bundled up.
Sheer Joy!!
Lexi was a little apprehensive about the whole beach thing at first, but eventually she let Chad put her down and was running around and playing UNTIL...
She biffed it!!
I think Nixon will probably grow up being a tree hugger with all the outdoor time he's gets. What can I say though, he's happy and enjoying it!!
Chad took this shot. Noticed their reflection in the wet sand. Very cool!
All that running around, playing and getting sand in places I didn't was possible, who am I to deny my kiddos some nice warm Mic-y D's french fries. Good thing too, because it held them over for our little adventure home!

HA!!! I tell you, I can't get enough of your adventures! Now you have your own "Turner Turnpike Timewarp"! Glad you made it home ok. I loved the picture of Lexi biffing it! I laughed out loud! Can't wait to see you all.
Yes!! You know how we love those kind of adventures and can totally relate... especially about the throw up thing! Super cute pictures. I love the one Chad took of the kiddos on the beach with their reflection... tender moment!
