Pumpkin patch fun!!

So for one of the field trips for Lexi's preschool we decided to go to a fun little pumpkin patch. It was a little cold and a bit misty, but the kiddos had a blast picking their pumpkins, getting Mom lost in the hay maze and sliding down the enormous hay chute (aka "big ol' slide".)

Lexi, Luke (one of Lexi's preschool buddies), Zane and Brooklyn

Although it was Lexi's preschool activity Zane got to come along too. He wanted to get a mini pumpkin at first and in my head I'm thinking, "I paid $4 for this kid, so get the money's worth!" He ended up getting a really big one that I had to lug around.

Lexi had about 3 pumpkins in her bag when it was time to go, so I had to coerce her into just one. She dumped all of them at that, and found a cute little one that she could carry all by herself. Heaven forbid if Mom steps in to help her out! :)

We had a great time and I think we finally understand what "Fall weather" is suppose to feel like.

Our fall is coming. Why, today we "cooled" off to a mild 93 degrees! So you see, our fall is just around the corner!
