Hiawatha Trail

Well, our time in Spokane came to a end a few weeks ago. We had such a blast and of course had to have one last hooray before we left.  We had heard of an amazing scenic bike trail that boasted of train trestles, tunnels and stunning forest land.  I must say that the Hiawatha Trail did not disappoint.  The kids were super troopers pedaling over 17 miles, 3.4 of them thru a pitch black tunnel!!

We were quite the biking train.  Zane was on his own bike, Lexi had a tag-along bike hooked on to Chad's, and Nixon had a plush ride in the trailer.

Yes, helmets are oh-so stylish.

Every few miles I'd have to maneuver the stupid trailer thru these blockades.  Chad laughed every time...nice.

17 miles later and check out Zane's delight.  We had an incredible time in Spokane and the surrounding areas.  Family time ROCKS!
